Leonardo and Veronica Intimate ceremony in Miami by Ohlson Photography
When I met Leonardo nine years ago, little did I know that I would have the honor to photograph some extraordinary moments in his life.
Being a bilingual wedding photographer in Florida has many perks beyond singing Shakira’s old songs. Making people feel cared for and included, connecting and be inspired by cultures and amazing people, and most importantly, helping our couples have an even better wedding experience.
Multicultural unions are pretty fun, adding diversity to one's life as a bonus after falling in love! Veronica is from Cali, Colombia, the capital of salsa, and I met her after Leo proposed in the romantic Saint Augustine, Florida. See more about this day here.
Their engagement session at Washington Oaks Garden was not only fun, with they had the fortune to have one of those sunset sessions you always hope to get.
Freaking COVID has genuinely changed our lives forever, and of course, all wedding plans. Leo and Vero’s vision is to have their Colombia destination wedding on hold. AND, sometimes you cannot wait to marry the love of your life and make it official until the big party comes.
Yes, Leighton and I attended and documented their intimate ceremony in Miami style! Closest family and friends, short and sweet union celebration. The backyard transformed into a sophisticated bohemian vision. The table decorations, florals, and table settings made their union dreamy. You bet there was fresh paella and top-notch bourbon for a couple that deserves nothing less.
After their ceremony, a short rain added contrast and gave us a pink sky for our flash portrait session. Part of being a photographer is to find the light, the environment, or the location to create the portraits that will be unique to you. How cool is this space? The contemporary and attractive walls and colors made it the perfect scenario for a twist in portraits.
Forever grateful for their trust!
Tip from their wedding ceremony:
Make room for the unexpected with and an open mind.
Follow your heart and make the moves that will make you happy.
