10 Tips to prepare for your wedding day
Wedding planning comes with all kinds of emotions and feelings, so here are our wedding tips before your wedding day!
- Do you! Make your own rules and traditions. While weddings have a long, long history of traditions, expectations, and family dreams, this is YOUR wedding, and you get to embrace or ditch the rules. Doing this will create a unique experience for you and your loved ones.
- Make a bold fashion statement. Now more than ever, there are options to make your personality shine through with your wedding attire. Tennis shoes, boots, capes, pants, jackets, bold colors? The sky is the limit! * Some brides don't feel very comfortable with their arms, and while there are tips for that, long sleeves, vails, and capes have brought many comfortable and stylish peace of mind.
- Pick a venue with already beautiful decor and light. This will save you money, work, and make your photographer and photos happy!
- Share with your photographer your desires and fears. This is big! Part of my wedding photography experience is to hear about what matters the most to you and what is causing you anxiety. Knowing this will help make our mission make sure we cover those and help manage or eliminate any stress! We got you!
- Walk your shoes. Yes, even the flats or comfy-looking low heel ones. New shoes come with some discomfort most of the time, so make sure you walk them around to break them in before your wedding day. Comfy bride, happy bride! Also, use comfy shoes during rehearsal dinner.
- Make a photo list. Most experienced photographers already have a mental list of photos we will get; however, having a list of specific photos you want will bring peace all around. Include that pose you have dreamed about or a photo with all your aunts, uncle Joe, dad, and cousin Angela. Help us capture those memorable photos we don't know about.
- Hire a videographer. This is probably the number one regret of couples after the wedding is over: not having a wedding video of their day. The money will come, but the time won't.
- Get a wedding planner/ day coordinator. BIG ONE! A wedding planner will make your planning experience more manageable and the wedding day a seamless flow! Having coordinators will save you from having vendors, guests, and family asking you about all kinds of things bringing unnecessary stress to your life.
