A Tuscan hillside, a Colorado peak in winter, a quiet national park at first light. If your day is happening somewhere far from home, Paola would be honored to follow it there.
“People choosing to take you to their wedding, somewhere abroad or in another state, that is another level of love. Getting to add my passion for travel to my photography is a two for one.”
A destination wedding is not a someday for Paola. She has already done it, from the rainforest of Puerto Rico to a castle in Colombia, in two languages, for couples who wanted her there.
And the list of where she wants to go next is long: a Tuscan hillside, a Colorado peak in winter, the quiet of a national park at first light, the cliffs of Portugal, barefoot vows in the tropics. If yours is not on it, even better. Surprise her.
When Victoria and Jose married at Casa Bella above the El Yunque rainforest in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, Paola was there for every minute of it, the poolside vows under white drapes, the palm trees, the newspaper-style programs, and the quiet table remembering the loved ones who could not be there.
That is what a destination wedding with her feels like. Not a stranger flown in, but someone who folds into your family and your place like she has always belonged there.
Their whole story, printed like a newspaper, El Yunque and all.
In the hills of Medellín, Colombia, Nataly and Joey married at El Castillo, a real Gothic castle with turrets, fountains and gardens that look pulled straight from a storybook. Paola flew home for all of it, the first look with Nataly calling down from the tower, the dip beneath the stone arch, the quiet walk through the cypress garden.
This one was personal. Nataly is Paola’s sister, so it was never really a job. It was family, in their own country and their own language, at a castle out of a fairy tale. She did not simply photograph the day. She lived it.
